笔者以平缓的笔触，为读者在面前徐徐展开一幅乡村画卷。寥寥数笔，就为我们描绘出杨家洼的美丽和乡民的淳朴。作者对于小说的整体掌握，做得十分到位，无论是在情节的处理上，还是在故事进展的节奏上，都做得几乎称得上是尽善尽美。很多看似随意的叙述，都会在后面的情节发展中得到呼应。让文章变得更加精彩。这些绝妙之处似乎只能是只可意会，不可言传。不通读全篇，无法领会。
